Terrestrial, freshwater and brakish mollusca of Malta islands

The malacofauna of Maltese republic consists of 91 species, subspecies and hybrids from 31 families. The check-list is given in this article. Author comments some basic characteristics of taxons like: endemic, fossil, recent, brackish, introduction, etc. Some localities of Maltese molluscs are listed using abbreviations from text. Author's original collectings are marked by the abbreviation “LRK”.
